In addition to the statutory curriculum requirements we offer a wide range of additional activities and resources.

After School Clubs

Teachers and volunteers run a variety of clubs, which may include Computer, Cookery, Craft, Sports, and Hand bells.

Sports

When possible we obtain the services of qualified coaches. We have purchased Table Tennis, Basketball, Tag Rugby, Floorball, Golf, Cricket and Netball equipment. Parents/Carers are encouraged to help with these activities especially with the after school clubs.

Library

We have a comprehensive library and children may borrow from it. We do however ask that you take responsibility for lost books.

Music

We offer recorder, flute, clarinet, brass, ukulele and guitar lessons. Payment is necessary for these lessons, but we can offer some instruments on hire from the school.

Residential Course

Years 4 and 5 children have the opportunity to attend the Malvern Outdoor Centre for three days.

Community Involvement

Children take part in various community activities such as:
Links with the local playgroup.
Horticultural Society plant competition.
Making and delivering Harvest baskets to local senior residents.
Links with Church and participation in the religious festivals.
Fund raising for chosen charities.

Inter School Activities

As a member of Evesham First Schools Cluster our children have the opportunity to be involved in educational activities with pupils from other schools

Collective Worship

The foundation governors in line with the school trust deed formulate the worship. The Friday celebration assembly is open to parents to celebrate with us. Parents have the right to withdraw their children and a room will be provided as previously stated.

Toast Club
(8.25am-8.40am)

For those who don't like early breakfasts, juice and toast are available at a small cost.

Hot Lunches

Hot lunches cooked by our local middle school are served in the school hall. Cost per lunch £1.90 at 1st September 2009.

School Hall

We have a purpose built hall enabling us to offer a wide range of sports, drama, dance and musical activities. The governors are keen for interested parties/organisations to hire the hall particularly community activities for young children and teenagers.

Adventure Playground

The school grounds have a "Leading Aspect Award" for creative and imaginative play. Children can enjoy the musical garden, storytelling area, den building area and a play leader organises a variety of games and activities during lunchtimes.

Swimming

Children from Years 3, 4 & 5 have the opportunity to swim at Evesham Leisure Centre during the year. Parents/carers are requested to make a voluntary contribution to the cost of transport.

School Mediators and Buddies

The school has pupil mediators who negotiate the successful outcome of minor incidents in the play area.

The school operates a council whose views feed into the school staff meetings and the School Improvement Plan.
