How the School is Organised

School starts at 8.40am but pupils can arrive at 8.30am when a teacher is on duty. If it's wet the children go straight into school. Nursery starts at 8.40am and finishes at 12 noon.
During the school day there is an act of collective worship based on Christian Anglican principles including use of The Bible but also other faiths as appropriate.
Fruit may also be eaten during mid-morning break from 10.50-11.05am. Children from Nursery to Year 2 have free fruit.
Lunch is from 12.10 to 1.10p.m and eaten in the hall. Hot lunches cost £1.90 or you may provide a packed lunch with named plastic cup and plate. Children bring their own drinks, water is also available. Healthy eating is encouraged so please do not send sweets. Children sit in "family groups".
Children are encouraged to drink water throughout the school day and water bottles may be purchased from the school office. The PTFA have provided the water filter/dispenser and this contributes to providing clean water in Africa.
Afternoon break for younger children is from 2.20-2.30pm and school ends at 3pm. A teacher supervises children onto the bus and ensures that seat belts are fastened.
Children may be collected from the playground. If you make other arrangements please let us know.
There are seven classes and each one has an individual year group, ranging from Nursery to Year 5.
The school is fortunate in having committed teachers and classroom support staff who will ensure that your child receives the best attention.
