Charges and Remission Charges for School Activities

  1. For any activities where charges can be made, the school will levy such charges.
  2. For an activity where charges cannot be made, if needed the school will ask for a voluntary contribution and the Headteacher will have the delegated authority to determine whether such activity will continue.
  3. No child will be excluded from activities requiring voluntary contributions that do take place through failure to make such a contribution.
  4. Charging in kind: all parents will receive separate letters of explanation as necessary.
  5. The County Council policy will apply to activities organised by the Local Education Authority.
  6. For a school chargeable activity parents/carers may ask, in confidence, for remission of charges in part or in full. The Headteacher will make authorisation of any remission.
