Welcome to Our School |
|
This is a Christian School based on Christian principles as set out in Matthew's Gospel, Chapter 22, Verses 37-39 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and all your mind. Love your neighbour as yourself'.
The Church continues to control the collective worship as written in the trust deed. The Church has serving governors who take a major role in the running of the school.
The original school was built in the 1850's and with the addition of various extensions is now an eclectic mix of old and new. We have a purpose built nursery, which offers part-time education for nursery age children.
We have the resources, staff and expertise to educate children between the ages of three and ten.
Our school is judged as good with outstanding features by Ofsted, and outstanding by the Church inspectors.
The school has been awarded Healthy School status and has Bronze Eco-Award.
Number on roll September 2009 - 160.
We pride ourselves on giving our pupils the very best educational opportunities, promoting positive attitudes, equality of opportunity for all and are committed to Every Child Matters.

Harvington First School is very welcoming and it invites you in to journey on a whole new World of learning. Harvington has a wide variety of teaching methods, to suit any child's learning ability. There are lots of clubs which children can attend e.g. clay modelling, cooking, sewing and a mixture of sports. The School organises trips for the whole school or individual classes, such as archaeological digs, theatre trips and an annual Year 4 and 5's Malvern trip.
We have a fantastic adventure playground which includes - a story telling area, a mound, a tunnel, a football pitch, a willow lobster, a gazebo, a den area, a music area and a hard surface area.
In the school, we have an amazing I.C.T Suite full with 21 computers. We have a large hall, which we use for storing P.E equipment, for assemblies and lunchtimes. During school times, we have music teachers who cover the instruments such as: recorder (a key favourite), flute, clarinet, trumpet and many more!
Harvington School encourages children to work to their full potential.
